We saw a hare in the future woodland today, we were told that there are two of them so we went to have a look (don't worry, some one is coming to catch them and put them outside the fence). Here is a shot we got of one of them:
Lovely (but you need a magnifying glass to see it). The last time I saw a hare was when Susie and I were in Connamara last year. We were sitting by some rocks on the headland at Gurteen Bay and a hare came bounding along a few yards from us. It was magical - you so rarely see them nowadays it feels like a real privilege. I hope our two resident hares don't decide to move away once the woodland gets going - they're open-country animals aren't they?
